Insurance
Having a poorly pet is a very upsetting time. We can process your pet’s insurance claim on your behalf – one thing less for you to worry about.
There are two options when making an insurance claim:
-
You can pay us & then we can claim the fees back to you; this service is free of charge.
-
Alternatively if you have a larger bill to pay, we can offer a Direct Claim service.
For a £25 annual fee (per pet and per condition), we will handle your claims & deal with your insurance company direct. In other words, this saves you paying us & then waiting for the payment – Park Hill shoulders the cost of treatment for you in this instance.

Whichever option you choose, we will need the following details before your insurance claim can proceed:
-
Your policy number

-
Your email address

-
Your consent / permission to speak to your insurers – this is for GDPR regulations and you may need to contact your insurers and add Park Hill Vets as an authorised contact for them.
Before making a claim we recommend that you check your policy for any exclusions.

All policies carry general exclusions such as preventative treatment (ie flea / worming tablets). Larger costs that can sometimes be excluded on policies include, for example, dental (if not accidental). There may also be more specific exclusions for your pet- this usually applies if there were any pre-existing conditions when you initially took out the policy.
Finally, about your excess. Again your policy documents will show your excess and when you need to pay it – whether it’s an annual excess, a percentage excess (often payable for older animals) or for a new condition.
WE ASK PLEASE THAT EXCESS OWED TO THE PRACTICE IS PAID OFF BEFORE FURTHER CLAIMS ARE MADE.
Please note: As of May 2022 all insurance companies (except Animal Friends & Many Pets*) require a signed claim form from the client OR a link requested by the client to start the claims process.

If any questions arise please feel free to ask to speak with Andrew, our Insurance Administrator.

*We can instigate a claim ourselves with these two companies.
